Parent Conferences

Dismissal for cars starts at 11:05 and buses will begin to load at 11:15.

Outdoor Recess
The cold weather is upon us! Please keep in mind that our students will continue to go outside for recess.  If the temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit or above, recess can take place outside. If the temperature is below 20 degrees Fahrenheit (this includes factoring in the WINDCHILL), recess will be indoors.  Students should always have appropriate clothing for the weather: Coat, boots, snow pants, hat, and gloves.

Report Cards
As a reminder, we are no longer distributing paper report cards to all families. Electronic report cards will be available via SchoolTool beginning Saturday, December 11.  Click here to access the viewing instructions. Here is a short video that also explains how to access the report cards online. If you need to update your email or phone number in SchoolTool, please click this link. If you need a hard copy of your child's report card mailed to your home, after December 11, please contact our school office at 315-487-4633.

Positivity Project:
Because of our shortened week, our P2 trait this week continues to be gratitude. Our students are grateful and thankful for so many things in their lives.  The one common thing our students are grateful for is family.

As our students have been studying the character trait Gratitude this week as part of the Positivity Project, they have demonstrated some ways they can be thankful and express gratitude in their lives.

PTA:

The Stonehedge Giving Tree
Our Wonderful Stonehedge PTA has a huge heart!  One of our PTA’s traditions is organizing the Annual Giving Tree.  This drive confidentially collects holiday gifts for Stonehedge families in need as well as the Samaritan Center.  Please consider helping out by picking up needed items with your child to donate.

To keep the donations coordinated, our PTA asks that students in Kindergarten, first and second grades please consider donating cash or Target gift cards. Third-graders donate soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries.  Fourth-grade students will focus on non-perishable food items like oatmeal packs, canned fruits and vegetables, pancake mix, and syrup.

This year’s drive will run from December 1st through December 17th.  Giving Tree Boxes will be in both lobbies to receive unwrapped donated goods.  A flyer was sent home with students with all the details.

Kindergarten Family Night
Our PTA is also bringing back Kindergarten Family Night on Thursday, December 2nd. Families will play games, listen to a story in the library, make a craft, and leave with a snack. Kindergarten children and their family members will have the opportunity to mingle with other families and get to know one another.  The PTA will send home more details soon.
