Weekend Update March 26th

Happy Friday, Stonehedge!  Yesterday, we celebrated P2 Spirit Day as part of the Positivity Project. Students and teachers dressed blue and gold and shared their favorite trait with signs, pictures and name tags.  Check out the pictures below! Too, I wanted to share an update from our Lap the Loop event last week-- West Genesee Elementary Schools raised almost $4000 for MDA.  Way to go Colton's Crew!  Thank you for your support, it really was a great event.  As we are winding down this week, I wish all of you a restful and well deserved week off next week. Thank you for all you do to support us.  See you Tuesday, April 6th!

Traveling Outside the Country
After arrival in the US, travelers must either quarantine for days with a test 3-5 days after travel, or quarantine for the full 10 days without a test.

Spring has arrived
With the good weather upon us we need to remember to slow down a bit and watch out for the students and each other as we enter and exit the school grounds. There is greatly increased traffic on the grounds and we all need to be patient and observant.

Positivity Project:  Humor
Humor is a sense of playfulness and lightness. It is a way of looking at and describing the world that brings laughter to people. A person with the strength of humor is skilled at seeing at the funny side of things, bringing smiles and laughter to others, and identifying and communicating the absurdities in life. People with this strength don’t specifically need to be joke tellers, although many are.

Weekend Update March 19th

Admiral Grace Hooper or Amazing Grace
earned her Ph. D. in mathematics from Yale and created one of the first code compilers that converted English terms into computer code. This paved the way for modern programming earning her the nickname Grandma COBOL.  Her words seemed fitting for all we are doing to make school work in this pandemic.  I thought it would be nice to share a little "Herstory."  Enjoy the beautiful weather ahead and have a great weekend!

Next Week:
Tuesday, March 23 - Talk with the Superintendent - 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm- register here
