Here is a short video that also explains how to access the report cards online. If you need to update your email or phone number on Schooltool, please click this link. If you need a hard copy of your child's report card mailed to your home, call the office.

Positivity Project: Gratitude:

Gratitude means that you are aware of and thankful for good things that happen. Gratitude is the quality of feeling and expressing thankfulness and appreciation. It is an affirmation that there is goodness in other people and the world, and that we have received that goodness. People with the strength of gratitude have a readiness to show appreciation for kindness and also to return kindness. A leading expert, Robert Emmons, calls gratitude a “relationship-strengthening emotion because it requires us to see how we’ve been supported and affirmed by other people.”

Weekend Update November 13th

Gratitude really CAN change everything.  As we look to celebrate GRATITUDE as our character trait for the Positivity Project next week, it is important to think of all those things we are grateful for.  I am incredibly grateful for the support the community has shown as we've worked through this unreal pandemic.  I am incredibly grateful for the children who come every do and do their best to learn and follow safety. I am grateful for those families who are making it work remotely. And, I am certainly grateful to the teachers who are working so hard to keep the school running smooth. I must admit this past week I've been especially grateful for the gorgeous weather we've had. What are you grateful for? Do check in with our children and ask what they are grateful for!

Coming Next Week:

Wednesday, November 18: Board of Education Meeting - 7:00 pm - WGHS Library

In the Near Future:

Monday, November 23: Remote students- Grades 2 remote material pick-up
November 22-24: Half-days for students, parent/teacher conferences.
November 25-27: Thanksgiving break

Important Information:

Please remember that instructional setting change requests must be received in writing by Tuesday, November 17th.

As you know, parent conferences are coming up. Conferences are typically 10-15 minutes long. As we typically meet in person, you may find it helpful to arrange a time and location you can talk or zoom without your youngster nearby.

The Fine Arts department has assembled general music kits for every student in grade K-6! Remote students in grades K-4 can pick up their music kits on 11/23 from 12:00 - 3:00.

Remote students in grade 2 can also pick up their literacy supplies for the next couple of units on 11/23 between noon and 3:00 p.m. in the Gold Lobby.

Weekend Update November 6th

Coming Next Week

Next week, we'll celebrate Veteran's Day.  Due to the restrictions with Covid, we won't be able to have our traditional ceremony.  I remember last year that was one of my favorite days.  I hope we'll be able to go back to it next year.  I'd like to sincerely thank all of our nation's veterans, especially those near and dear to Stonehedge.  Thank you for all you do to protect and care for myself and our Stonehedge Community.

Positivity Project:

The P2 Strength for next week is:  Bravery. Bravery means that you act with mental, moral, or physical strength even when you know things are difficult or scary. Bravery refers to voluntary (not coerced) action in the face of a dangerous circumstance. This strength involves judgment; the brave person must have an understanding of the risks and consequences involved in acting.
