Weekend Update Oct 8

I hope you enjoyed our first "MYSTERY" Parp reading! :)

October continues to be filled with fun and exciting learning activities at Stonehedge. The weather has been so enjoyable at recess! Students in Kindergarten are really figuring out our school expectations.  They are doing a great job maintaining their self-control, taking turns, and following the daily schedule.  You'll see lots of letter and number formation practice.  First graders are really getting moving in their reading, adding and counting backwards.  Second graders are moving away from reviewing previously taught content and digging into those deeper second grade concepts, such as vocabulary terms and math story problems.  Third and fourth graders are spending time learning new concepts in reading comprehension and developing their mathematics fluency.  This week third and fourth graders were so excited to start chorus!  I am already looking forward to the December Concerts!

Important Information:

CODE Assemblies are back at STE

CODE Assemblies will be starting next week. Officer Brand will virtually meet with each grade level and share about different age appropriate topics ranging from physical safety, the role of police officers, growing up safe, bullying behavior, dealing with exclusion and rumors, and dealing with peer pressure.  Notes will be going home after the presentations.

Positivity Project

Positivity Project trait of the week: Integrity.  C.S. Lewis says, "Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching." Consider using these conversation starters to support your student at home.
  • What do you do and say that shows integrity?
  • Is it always easy to show integrity?
  • How can it be hurtful to others when you don't show integrity?
