Important Information:
As you may be aware, some of our students here at Stonehedge are not following behavioral expectations while using the shared bathrooms. Each time this occurs our custodial staff must shut down the restrooms to clean and restock when supplies have been misused.
This is an inconvenience for all of our students who are using the bathrooms appropriately and for the adults with whom they work. Please take the time to speak with your students about respecting property and our shared spaces. We are currently working on implementing accountability systems that are manageable by classroom teachers (without interrupting instruction), and which hold students accountable for adhering to appropriate bathroom expectations.
Promise Zone Student Engagement Specialist
Stonehedge is fortunate to have Alanna Reilly as our Promise Zone Student Engagement Specialist. Promise Zones’ vision is ” to increase the capacity and efficacy of service delivery to all students to ensure social, emotional, and academic achievement.”
Transportation Staff Appreciation Day
The West Genesee transportation staff has been working diligently to get our students to and from school safely each day. On Tuesday, November 2nd, the West Genesee District Council and district PTAs/PTOs will sponsor an appreciation day for our transportation staff. Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donuts will be provided in the transportation department as a token of appreciation. Parents and students are also encouraged to share their gratitude for transportation staff members with signs, cards, handwritten notes, or just saying "thank you" as you board the bus or drive by in the drop-off/pick-up lines at school that day. Let's show our Wildcat transportation staff how much we appreciate them!

Congratulations!
This past weekend, a few members of the West Genesee Chess
Club competed at the Central NY Chess Open in Baldwinsville in a 5-round Swiss
Style Classical Chess Tournament. Each student played games on Saturday
and Sunday against other chess players from across the entire Northeast
Region. This was a huge step for each player in their competitive chess
careers and counted towards their individual national USCF (United States Chess
Federation) rating. Congratulations to all!
