Can you believe we are finishing up our first week of August? For me, July really FLEW by! I had the opportunity to visit my dad in Michigan, spend some quality time at camp, and cheer on my daughter at her softball tournaments! July was great, but I must admit I love getting back into the swing of things at school. We are working hard to prepare for opening day. We have so many exciting things happening at Stonehedge this year...
- Ms. Deborah Ratcliff will be our new Assistant Principal.
- Stonehedge is a K-4 school. We will no longer be the blue team or the gold team. We are one team - StONEhedge!
- You'll see the signs labeling "Blue Team" and "Gold Team" have been removed from the building entrances. Soon "Main Entrance" will go up where the blue entrance once was.
- We'll have one main office to call and visit! (Entrance #1 and 315-487-4633)
- We have reconfigured the building. Kindergarten and First grade are located in the Primary Wing (section formerly known as Blue). Second, Third and Fourth will be located in the two story part of the building formerly named Gold. During our "Popsicles with the Principals" event (8/30 @ 6-7 PM) families will be able to find classrooms.
- Students will be arriving at school at 9:00 AM and dismissed at 3:17 PM
- Summer mailing will be coming mid- August.
Some important information:
- Tuesday, August 24 @ 9:00 AM: Kindergarten Orientation
- Monday, August 30 @ 6:00- 7:00 PM: Popsicles with the Principals! Come chat with Mrs.Simmons and Ms. Ratcliff and find your new room location!
- Tuesday, September 7: First Day of School
It certainly will be an interesting month as we figure out what our COVID procedures will be. I'll keep you posted as these are determined.
Until next time,
Amanda
