Weekend Update September 11

 welcome back

The halls feel alive again. It was a thrill to feel the energy and excitement of students in the classrooms after so much time away. It was truly an amazing two days. Thank you for your understanding and support.  We could not have done this without you.  I am so truly blessed to work for this amazing community.

Adjustments to Student Drop-off and Pick-up

Thank you for your patience during dismissal.  We have made a few adjustments based on the last few days.  Please carefully review the following information.  We have sent a letter and map via email and US Mail.

Monday, September 14th:

  • 1st grade students who do not have a sibling in kindergarten drop off at Blue main entrances (marked in green on the map).
  • 2nd grade students Goodnow, Touron, Bednarski, Bailey and Schweitzer who do not have a sibling in kindergarten or 1st grade will be dropped-off and picked-up at the entrance behind the two-story Gold side of our school (marked in blue on the map).
  • We will stagger our dismissal time so that we can have our students dismissed more quicker. Please plan to arrive at the times listed below,  arriving early will cause traffic congestion and slow down our process.

    • Car Tag # 1-75 should arrive at 2:30.
    • Car Tag # 76-150 should arrive no earlier than 2:40.
    • Car Tag # 151-225 should arrive no earlier than 2:50.
    • Car Tag # 226 and up should arrive no earlier than 3:00.

Lunch

If you choose to have school meals, breakfast and lunch will be delivered to the classrooms. Lunches can and should be pre-ordered through our new Nutri-Slice online system. A description of the app and how to use it is included in the back to school packet you will receive in the mail, or you can click here to find it directly on the school website.

Curriculum Night

Virtual Curriculum Night will be held next Thursday, September 17th . Your child's teacher will send you a Zoom link. K & 1 will take place from 6:00 - 6:25, 2 & 3 will take place from 6:30 - 6:55, and 4th grade will take place from 7:00 - 7:25. This will be a time for you to meet your child's teacher and learn about the program he or she will experience this year.
