Weekend Update October 25

Stonehedge Welcomes New York Times Bestselling Author/Illustrator, Troy Cummings.

As part of our PARP (Pick a Reading Partner) celebrations, our wonderful PTA brought Mr. Troy Cummings to Stonehedge to share the joys of writing and storytelling with our students.  As a child, Mr. Cummings spent all his time writing stories, drawing pictures, and keeping an eye out for monsters!  He says that he does pretty much the same things now, but he has also written and illustrated more than thirty children's books, including; THE NOTEBOOK OF DOOM series, THE BINDER OF DOOM series, CAN I BE YOUR DOG?, and THE EENSY WEENSY SPIDER FREAKS OUT (BIG-TIME!) He has also illustrated books by other authors, including CARING FOR YOUR LION (by Tammi Sauer), LITTLE RED GLIDING HOOD (by Tara Lazar), MIGHTY TRUCK (by Chris Barton), and VROOM VROOM GARBAGE TRUCK (by Asia Citro).  His visit was greatly appreciated by the students and staff.

Guest Readers
Throughout this month of PARP we've been very lucky to have some guest readers come in and read to our students. Mrs. Cunningham's class even had a furry friend come visit!
