Kindergarten Registration Begins in December

Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 school year opened virtually on December 1, 2021, and will go until March 31, 2022. This will allow our families to register their children from the comfort of their home or office. Please click here to start the Virtual Registration process. This will schedule a telemeeting with you.

When registering, parents should be prepared to upload the following:
  • proof of residency (ie. mortgage or property statement or signed lease agreement)
  • proof of immunizations
  • proof of age
A physical examination is also required and a dental certificate is requested for entry into kindergarten. These examinations should be done up to one year prior to the first day of school. Children who enter kindergarten this fall must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2022.

Lost and Found: Labeling Items Is Important
If any of these items look familiar, please give the school a call by Friday, March 18.

Positivity Project:
Social Intelligence
Social Intelligence is this week's character strength focus. Social intelligence means you are aware of other people's thoughts and feelings; you understand why they do things. Socially intelligent people might be described as insightful, understanding, empathetic, and aware. For more about social intelligence, click here.

PTA:
Yearbook Candids
The PTA is looking pictures to fill the yearbook pages.  If you have pictures of your child from the first day of school, Halloween, Pumpkin Hedge or other school events, please email them to lpetrik@westgenesee.org

Around School:
Donations For The Ukraine
Stonehedge students brought in donations for the WGHS Supply Drive to support Ukraine

St. Baldrick's
Thank you to all the students and families who donated money to Mr. Mercado to benefit St. Baldrick's. Thanks to you we raised $500 to help find cures for children with cancer. Those who donated had their names put in for a drawing to actually shave Mr. Mercado's head.  Students were assisted by WG parent and owner of Saving Face Barber Shop, Anthony Nappa.

Buddy Day
Stonehedge had our first Buddy Day of the school year to celebrate National Read Across America Day.   Older students read to their younger buddy students then decorated a bookmark.
