Ramadan Mubarak! That means “Happy Ramadan” to our Muslim community members. This year, Ramadan begins in the evening of Tuesday, April 13 and ends in the evening on Wednesday, May 12. Ramadan concludes with Eid Al-Fitr, the “Festival of Breaking the Fast.”


The Fairmount Community Library is proud to be partnering with the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in offering patrons a Twilight at the Zoo Zoom experience on Tuesday, April 20 at 6:00 PM. By registering online at fairmountlibrary.org, patrons will be up close and personal at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo right in the comfort of their homes. If you have a life-long love of animals and are interested in conservation, you'll truly appreciate this special event presented by the staff of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The program is entitled "Amazing Adaptations" and will dive deep into how animals survive in their environments using specific body parts and behaviors. Attendees can expect to see a few of the zoo’s beloved animals featured in the presentation. Those who register online at fairmountlibrary.org will receive a Zoom link via email the week of the event. The link is the admission to this fun and educational program which is geared towards animal lovers of all ages! The Fairmount Community Library’s mission is to connect our community through information sharing, fostering communication and enhancing lifelong learning. Kindergarten Registration has been extended!!!! Kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year will opened virtually on December 1, 2020 and will remain open until April 30, 2021! You may utilizthe Virtual Registration process to get started and schedule your telemeeting!  Please click here to find all the pertinent information regarding this process! West Genesee Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council
As you may have read in the Superintendent’s Message from February 26th, there is an opportunity for all members of our community to come together as members of the West Genesee Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. The council recognizes the need to listen to the voices, experiences, and perspectives of people from diverse backgrounds in order to advance the council's mission and help all members of our community achieve success. This council is open to all members of our community. If you are interested in joining, please fill out this Google form and a member of the team will contact you directly. 

Free National Park Service Passes
Every fourth grade student is eligible to receive a FREE National Park Service's (NPS) Every- Kid- in-a Park pass. NYS will accept this pass for free vehicle entry admission (with the fourth grader present) for all of their State Parks in 2021. Therefore, the student and anyone in the vehicle will have free entry. This pass is also accepted at state historic sites for the fourth grade student and up to three adults.
